Hello everyone I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum but I am still with the "evil empire (Verizon)" and was thinking of switching to Sprint for the Pixi.  I could really use some opinions on if I should.  I am getting very tired of Verizon locking down all of the good features and making you pay high prices.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.  Grin

Thanks,

Scott

I have the Storm now and I'm getting tired of having to use Hybrid OS's which are kind of stable.  I'm looking for a smart phone that will work right out of the box and won't be charged an arm and a leg.  Looking for some opinions on Sprint and the new Pixi.  That way I can make my decision on whether or not to switch.  Undecided

Well,  I had Verizon for about 4 yrs, and had no problems.  The coverage where I live is great. (Bay area, CA).  I have been with Sprint for about 4yrs, I live in the same area, and I love their coverage as well.  Internet seems to be faster from what I can remember.  Cost is pretty, Sprint is less expensive.  I enjoy my Pixi.  There is a little learning curve, but I think it is very user friendly.  I think it depends what you are using the phone for.  What specific things would you like an opinion on?

Honestly I feel asking for advice from this forum means you've already made up your mind.  Smiley For me, I went from spending $75.00 per month (including taxes) for 450 min and unlimited text with Verizon to paying about $80.00 per month (including taxes) for the same minutes, unlimited text, and the data plan with Sprint.

I was a little nervous because of the horror stories I've heard about Sprint's coverage, but living in Los Angeles, I have had no complaints whatsoever. Very glad I switched!

Honestly I haven't made up my mind yet.  It's tough...I've been with Verizon for a very long time.  I want to be sure I make the right decision.  So any help on coverage for Western MA and opinions of Sprint or the Palm Pixi is what I'm looking for  Grin

That would be great if you could roam on Verizon's network.  Does anyone else know if this can be done?  Thanks for the input and keep the comments coming (good or bad).   Wink

That's great to hear!!!  I live approx. 20 minutes west of Springfield.  Pixitty much the only thing holding me back from switching is knowing that I will have good coverage.  So if the coverage is good in Western MA then Good By Verizon Tongue Tongue Tongue Grin Grin

Thanks for the input Wink
