Hey all,

I'm a current Verizon subscriber. I've been following the Pixi for a while now, and after playing with one today in the store, I truly have to have one! I've been very disappointed with Verizon as of late.. my bill has gotten quite expensive for my family plan and the phone selection is dismal for what I want.

I had sprint a while back and the experience left something to be desired; service/signal wasn't very strong (I live in Minnesota) and the customer service was awful. I was also very turned off by the $100/mo plan, until I learned they had a 450 min w/ everything plan for only $70.

My question for you folks is how does the quality of their towers stack up to Verizon and AT&T? I'm really itching to get off Verizon, but I am very much a fan of having their "3g" signal nearly everywhere I go.

Thanks!

Well the signal probably hasn't gotten better but the pre apparently gets a better signal than most sprint phones.

Also customer service has gotten way better

I get 3G everywhere I go.  In terms of being able to make calls, if that is also in the question, Sprint allows you to make all calls in roaming for free.  It will use minutes but you don't get any roaming charge.

Where I live the Sprint quality of service is excellent.  It does vary of course where you are.  That being said, I drove across state last weekend and I had coverage the entire time.  The phone roamed a couple of times and went to 1x service, but I always had service and had no problems making calls and downloading data.  Add that to the improved customer service and unlimited everything, text, GPS, etc and I think Sprint is one of the best values in the industry at the moment.

I have sprint for my personal service and AT&T for business. I have been much happier with my sprint services vs. the AT&T. At my home AT&T service data, and cell service is limited if not working at my house.

With sprint have one bar, and my service still works great. I live in the MD area.
