Welcome ogul!

I'm one of those that lost interest in baseball because of the strike back in what?  '94-'95?

Whatever.  Point being, over the last couple years my interest has been rekindled.

I live in DFW and follow the Rangers more than anyone but can't quite say I'm a fan again.

It is good to see they actually have some decent pitching now, however sad to see their bats have been REEEALLY quiet the past 4-5 games.  It's usually the other way around.

Either way, they're doing purdy darn decent this year and a low buzz level of excitement is starting to build in the metroplex.   We'll see if they can continue on past the All-Star break.  Seems any time they start out decent, they flop after the break.

PPF you have nothing to worry about if you're a Rangers fan.  Not only have they been playing great baseball this year but the division is quite weak in my opinion.  The Angles are always worrysome but I am pretty confident Rangers will not only make the playoffs this year but will advance at least till the ALCS.  I will root for them because they will likely be playing the Red Sox and I despise them.  lol Of course unless the White Sox make it (which is highly doubtful this year).  You have a big series coming up against the hottest team in baseball so it should be exciting. Anyways come back chat baseball anytime. Im always up for it.

Well,

The Rangers just finished what is probably the toughest stretch of their schedule this season.

Though they lost a couple games in their lead, they are still in first place.

The bats REALLY need to wake up soon.

The way I look at it, unless the team is 20 games out of first place by all star break, there is not a need to worry. it is still relatively early and the bats will wake up, and the pitching will come around and the defense will be top notch.(unless you're the nationals).  I heard a saying a while back, "In baseball you win 60 and you lose 60, its the other 40 you should worry about".

Im looking forward to tue, wed, and thurs.  White Sox are playing those pesky Cubs. Looking for a sweep because the only thing worse than losing in the first round of last years playoffs to Tampa Bay, is to lose to the Cubs at Wrigley.

That is certainly one of the beauties to ML baseball.  So many games to be played.  You're really never out of it.  That said, the Rangers have a history of consistently tanking after the All-Star break whether or not they're doing well.  We will see what happens with 'em.

Go into Wrigley and sweep them Cubbies!
