Playbook for Xmas Present-20% off DVD to BlackBerry PlayBook Converter
Top DVD Ripper for PlayBook-Rip/Convert DVDs to BlackBerry PlayBook with best HD video quality

Merry Christmas 2011! Tablets are our most popular electronic gift for Christmas 2011. The best tablet available in the market today is - surprise - the new BlackBerry PlayBook! If you're giving out or receiving a BlackBerry PlayBook for Xmas Present, take a look at the below DVD Ripper offer:

Best SW to rip dvd to playbook

I'm traveling again next week and was hoping to rip some dvds onto my Playbook for the trip. I have a few questions for the community experts:
Any suggestions on some easy to use, reliable software?
Any tips for the best format to use?
...

This is a question asked by someone at a BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Forum. As we all know, there are many DVD ripping softwares in the market. It is really a headache to pick up a best one. Referring to the best DVD Ripper for 2011, there're at least two candidates worth trying- DVDfab and Pavtube. I did a test to both of them and finally found Pavtube DVD Ripper is suitable for those who wanna rip DVD to smartphones and tablets as it offers variable optimized formats for these devices so you don't need do further setup. In the "format" bar, you can easily find three customed profiles for BlackBerry PlayBook. So you can rip DVDs to PlayBook Tablet along with the help of the Pavtube DVD Ripper app.

To be honest, he DVD Ripper for PlayBook is easy to use for editing and conversion and makes great quality copies of my DVDs. I really like that I can turn up the volume on my DVDs. The audio/video synchronization is very good, the size of the subtitles too. I have transferred and copied the converted DVD movies to BlackBerry PlayBook(I used the profiles it offers), I find the DVD rips smoothly playback on BlackBerry PlayBook with a high quality. Chances is that the program is on sale at the Pavtube's Christmas Promotion through Dec. 5, 2011 if you choose this option.

The process is straightforward. Insert the DVD disc, run and load DVD movies to the DVD to Playbook Converter, then click on the "Format" bar, find "BlackBerry" category and select a playbook format from the three profiles: BlackBerry Playbook Video(*.mp4) or BlackBerry Playbook HD 720p(*.mp4) or BlackBerry Playbook Full HD 1080p(*.mp4). After everything's set down, click the big "Convert" button to start the conversion from DVD to H.264 mp4 video for BlackBerry Tablet.

I used to rip DVD movies to PC and WD TV Live players and learned video codecs and settings well. After several conversions and tests I worked out the best settings for converting DVD to Blackberry Playbook:

Video
Video Codec- H.264
Video Format- .mp4
Resolution- 1280*720
Video Bitrate – 1500kbps
Frame Rate – 30fps

Audio
Audio Codec- AAC
Audio Bitrate- 128kbps
Sample Rate- 44.1khz
Audio Channel- Stereo

I choose H.264 .mp4 as the best format for Blackberry Playbook conversion because it is the recommended video format for local playback on Blackberry Playbook tablet by Blackberry official site. Although Playbook supports video playback up to 1080p, I choose 1280*720 for converting DVD to Blackberry Playbook- the tablet screen resolution is 1024*600, so I can watch result videos on Playbook in full screen. For watching videos on Playbook tablet, 1500kbps is just all right. I find that bitrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss.

DVD Ripper varies, I recommend this one because I tried four DVD video encoders and it is the only one that converts h.264 video without sync issues. Better yet, it lets me save my settings as a custom format. Only several steps, you can easily experience and view DVD movies on BlackBerry PlayBook as you like.
