Hi Everyone. Didn't see this article posted yet so I thought I'd throw in here:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/technology/2009/05/13/results-palm-pre-beats-the-new-iphone-115875-21355236/
I know it's just Palm Pixi vs. iphone, but it seemed this forum was the best fit for it.
It's pretty encouraging to counter the nay-sayers that think the Pixi will be DOA.

I am curious to see how the pre stacks up to the iphone in real world use.
Apple has answered back with a big update. 3.0 has made huge leaps ahead of all the current phones.
Add the app store and iphone will still be number one unless pre does what it claims and has apps coming soon.

Iphone 3.0 has added Rumble support in game play, better stereo BT, peer2peer support and alot more.
Any other phone support all of that?

I am not an iphone lover but you gotta give props to the guys at Apple.

Waiting for the Pixi and we all know Sprint is never on it's game in releasing phones, updates or support.
Sure the coverage is great but what about the phones?

Just my 2cents.

I'm curious too. But iPhone OS 3.0 is not a big update in my opinion.. they just try to fix what has been missing all the time like copy&paste. Even with new hardware (ok, admitted, a compass does sound interesting).

There's still no good calendar which is a must-have for me, no multitasking, no such awesome, unintrusive notification system ("push" is a joke), etc.

The biggest bonus they still have is a HUGE app-store, and games (not important for me, but for some).
Let's see what Apple will do Wink

I agree with you there about some of the update just adding features they should have already had but with the new features added to what it already has, it is still leaps ahead of anything else to date.
Andriod and maybe Pixi will come close and maybe pass it but time will tell.

The App Store is a great thing and not all the apps are just games.
They have apps for everything.

I hope Pixi will come and raise the bar but we will have to wait and see.
Many Sprint users are tired of waiting and tired of Sprint.

Come by and read Sprintusers and here what many of us have to say on the subject. Smiley

Absolutely, only time will tell, that is why I am so excited Wink For me personally, Android never really appealed to me. I think that's because of the missing multitouch and mainly because of the look&feel of the GUI.
