If you just got your phone and have not updated it yet to version 1.04 then it will run slower and use battery faster. You might want to read up on homebrew apps and installing them via email link before you update. You can get the free usermade apps after you update using a different method witch is slightly more diffuclt. What do you mean by Pandora being in the Bottom right the little P icon for the program? If so it's just a minimized version to let you know it's running you can tap it to bring up a small alert message for it witch you can swipe to the left or right to dismiss the alert and icon wihout shutting the program off. this works for all alers such as missed calls, voicemail or calenders alerts.

I just got my pre yesterday. I cant put it down!! A few things though..If I run pandora or youtube, it runs really slow. Is this normal. Also, this just started this afternoon..Everytime  I pull my phone out and unlock it, my pandora is in the bottom right corner. Any help?
I use Pandora all the time, and it defenately makes the PRE run slower.  Havent used YouTube much, but i know Sprint Navigation will slow it down as well.

Youtube makes it run slower and it absolutely kills the battery, almost as bad as Sprint Navigation

Do you use them for good, or for awesome?

My palm pre is not receiving text messages from people i text the most and sometimes it resets while in my pocket. Will the sprint store replace my palm pre or will they give me a loaner phone until mines is fixed. I prefer for them to replace it.

they should replace it, but it could be with a "refurb".  they consider any phone returned to the store a refurb, so it's basically a new phone.  let us know if you get any kickback...  i talked to palm personally and the phone has a 1-year warr that sprint must honor.  don't let sprint try to charge you any fees or anything.

If its not working, regardless of where you bought it (unless it was off the back of a truck) it should be replaced.  Do you have the insurance on it through Sprint?  Wouldnt hurt to have that added just in case they give you a hard time (its $7 a month).  I have heard people say you can add the insurance then walk right into the store and have it fixed.  But if it is a manufacturers defect or problem, like wankerc5 said, they have to honor it and replace it.

I've actually talked to a rep at the store about that and they changed their policy (this was a few months ago). Now if you get the insurance you can't use it for a month or something like that.

the insurance is a waste anyway...  24 months @ $7/mo = $168 + $50 deductive if you actually need to use the insurance (or is it $100)?

that's a lot of money.  most problems are covered under the mfg warranty, unless you use for phone for target practice.

The $100 deductible only applies if you damage/lose the phone.  But as I see it, to replace it would be a heck of a lot more.  A new PRE without a contract is $549 on sprints website.  I guess you could shop around, but I would rather just spend the $7 a month.  Plus, if you are a sprint premier customer (and somehow I am, not really sure why), and you can upgrade your primary # every year, it really only figures to be 12 months @ $7/mo = $84+$100.  Not much to be able to just walk in hand it to them, and make them give you another one regardless of what happens.
