I'm able to download music to my Pixi from my PC using Windows Media Player.  However, none of it appears in the Music app.  I can see the one album I purchased and downloaded from Amazon MP3 in the Music app and can also listen to it.  I can see my album folders on the Pixi in Windows Explorer when I connect my Pixi to my PC using the USB cable.

Anyone know how to get these files to appear so I can listen to them?  Alternatively, anyone know where in the Pixi tree structure these music folders need to reside so the Music app sees them?

I think if you just put the Pixi into USB drive mode when you hook up the phone to your computer, it should work.  Just copy your MP3s into the root menu (i.e. when you open the Pixi drive, it's the first window that opens).  I did that with an MP3 and it seemed to work ok with the music player.

There is a good chance that your music coming from Windows Media Player is in .wma format.  The Pixi does not support .wma

I recommended http://www.wma-mp3.org/ to another user experiencing a similar issue.  Said it worked great for them.

It could be as simple as needing to convert your files before sending them to the Pixi.

For what it's worth, I tried to copy an .avi file over to see if it would play.  It copied fine but did not recognize on the phone even though it showed up Windows Explorer.

Good luck!

PPFGuy ~
Thanks very much!  That's the problem.  I thought they were MP3 but they're not - guess that's what I get for not actually checking the file extension.  I'll convert them to MP3 and try again.

Yep, that worked!

I did find that I couldn't use Windows Media Player to sync with.  After I converted the WMA files to MP3, it converted them back to WMA during the transfer process to the phone.

I actually had to drag and drop the folders from my PC to my Pixi using the USB cable.

But it worked.
