I had been using an Ipod Touch to sync with I-Tunes and had been downloading a series of podcasts of a radio program (This American Life).  It appears they are recorded in a format called M4B.  I can't get them to transfer to my Pixi either manually or through a sync.  Anyone know if there is a workaround?  It'd be a pain to have to carry both an Ipod and a Pixi when I travel.

Thanks!

I had thought they worked...

Are they "supposed" to sync via iTunes... Make sure "sync all podcasts" is selected.

Otherwise, I'm not sure.

I believe the Pixi does not support the .m4b format....yet. Only m4a and m4v.

Edit:
I remember a while back helping a buddy put audiobooks into itunes. They copy into itunes in .m4a and then I had to manually change the file format, i.e go to the folder where they were at and rename the format to .m4b  This should work in reverse. copy the file to a new folder so you don't lose the original and try to rename the extension to .m4a

They will be listed as standard audio, but you will at least be able to listen to them...unless they are protected, that is.

Edit#2
I downloaded the newest 'This American Life' and it is in mp3 format. I was able to drag it to my Pixi via Itunes and it worked fine. Maybe they changed the formats?

The ones that are the current one of the week (that you can download) are in MP3, but the archived ones you download for $.99 on Itunes are M4B.  I'll try changing it to M4a and see what happens.  Thanks!

Try playing them as a video. you won't get video but you should get audio.
