i feel the same frustration. i miss the "private" options for calendar/contacts/notes etc. that one option kept me with palm rather than blackberry for so many years. and now the pre does not have that option OR many of the customization the centro/treo offers. HOWEVER ~ i think palm will come through and manage to incorporate these options in future updates. AND hopefully make the phone run smoother too, i notice major lags when scrolling through my contacts and calendar. sigh ~ i miss my centro.
I agree! It is very disappointing after 5 Palm phones, to end up with one that does not do the phone thing very well!!! You should be able to customize every aspect of the sound vibration, etc....Thinking of going Palm Pro after my 755. I have had the Pixi for 18 hours and just frustrated by the lack of synergy to the other Palm devices. Simple things like quick contacts, Text notification and email notification are not done right. Simply put, it is a FAIL!!!! I have purposely stayed away from the iPhone to wait for this device, I bought it on day one, and I have yet to hear a text notification!! Palm has bet its entire future on his device and could not even migrate the basics of notification customization. I sorry this became more of a rant, but I am in with the petition, otherwise I go in a different direction!
