I must be honest and say, if the Iphone comes out in June, I would have to give that a look before getting the Pixi.  My next Sprint phone will be free so the chances are I would still get a Pixi or Touch Pro2.  But if the new Iphone has alot more hardware features, plus all the apps for it, it would be hard not to consider it.  For podcasting, music, videos, movies and web browsing, you can beat it with the 3G version and 16GB.  The newer one will only be better.  The only thing that has stopped me from the Iphone is that you have to run and close each program seperately before jumping to the next program, as well as no home screen and push notifications.  If the new Iphone had multitasking and push, there would not be many reasons not to get it.  And I never owned an apple product before in my life!

You don't have to be guilty to not get a Pixi. We are pursuing the Pixi because we have all come to the conclusion that this phone will meet out needs. Whether it's being on Sprint, having a qwerty keypad, having Palm OS emulation, or various other reasons.

Besides that would be one more for us laugh

The new iPhone shouldn't have multitasking because they already took a shot at the concept by saying it would decrease their battery life. Other than that it's totally up to you on which device will work for you.

I know it is up to me, but I really do not want to support Apple.  I went to Walmart to check one out and I really loved the form factor and build quality of the Iphone.  It felt solid.  But I hate Apple! I also like the size of the screen, but I really hate Apple!  I like that Slingbox is comming out for the Iphone, but I really hate Apple.  I just pray that the Pixi will have the applications I currently use on my Windows Phone.  I am even willing to put up with just 8GB, even though it is silly for them not to have 16GB.  The UI looks so slick.  The way push is designed makes it non-intrusive.  I want Plam to succeed.  Again, I just hope I can do the same with it as my current phone and that the keyboards keys are not too close together.  Plus, I have the Simply Everything plan and do not want to pay $50 more per month just to switch to AT&T

I Apple I like the I phone. I didn't change to cingular because of it. I had t mobile. When the g1 came out. I switched to sprint. First off The iphone has so many applications its rediculous! It is fun and exciting to see what they come out with. Apple is a great company and i am posting this now.... on a IMAC. BUT, it isn't a business phone. the only reason why HTC is around is that they stick to the business side. excel, word, etc. I mean they may have apps for it now but hopfully the pre will nip it in the bud. And i really hope it comes out on the 17th of may!

I wouldn't make a decision solely based on the company's reputation in your head. Sometimes I like Apple (I'm writing on a MacBook), sometimes I hate them when it comes to the price and them making everything exclusive and restricted.

But the Pixi has gained my interest not because it's not from Apple, but because it is the right phone for my needs (awesome calendar, no real restrictions, multitasking!, etc). That is what you have to consider, look at the phones and not only the company, and then decide what is right for you.

I just do not like the way they have to have sole control over their environmnet, therefore limiting some good 3rd party ideas and products. Cant even get a battery for it or use equipment protection warranty to replace phone when needed for standard rates and unlimited coverage. Since it will now offer push does that mean even if application is closed, we will still get notifications for new email, txt, IM's, podcasts, etc on the Iphone?
