I updated the phone earlier today.  I like a lot of the new fixes they made, but I have noticed some issues.

-My phone reception is worse.  It was unusually bad when I bought my Pixi to begin with (dropping call in my basement).  But now I cant talk anywhere in my house.  Very annoying!!  I know its not the Sprint coverage because I had an LG Lotus before and had great reception everywhere.

Is anyone else noticing their reception got worse, or is lagging in general on the Pixi?

No, if any changes in the reception I think that mine is better... Doesn't change from 3 to 1 bar even though I have not moved

Mine appears to be more stable as well. sticking around 4 Bars all through the house...except the basement. But nobody gets good reception in my basement.

Hm ok obviously it's not a new update issue.. try a soft-reset, maybe?

It switched to Sprint configuration 1.7 from 1.6

Dunno how much that could have impacted you, but sounds like it might have.

I use to always have bad reception at my dads office but after giving this advice to my girlfriend it should work for you to.
1. Call sprint
2. Complain about bad service.
3. They will recomend the air wave.
4. say your paying enough you don't want to pay 100$ for reception you should have in the first place
5. you will get credited 100$ to you account to buy an airwave.
6. you will be a happy guy  Tongue

out of curiosity have you dropped your phone?

Yes, I have dropped my phone a few times.  the reception did not change after a drop though.  Only changed after I updated the firmware.

They're called a "Airave" and they are made by samsung but sold by sprint and and i think there is a $4.99 monthly fee for that plus the $100 you was saying for the actual device. they're some on ebay also

I had bad reception before and after the update.  I took the advice and called sprint after reading about the airwave.  They are currently on back order but I am supposed to get one in about a week. After a little complaining Sprint waved all fees.  Thanks.
