I installed my Phanton Skinz on Sunday and must say it is very good.  I also have a problem with it overlapping in the same spot.  But i also had an overlapping issue on one of the edges as well.

I got a Phantom skin in this past week and could not get either installed without bubbles. I followed to directions exactly, but there were bubbles everywhere that wouldn't come out. I even tried applying slower and more carefully, and it still happened. I ordered an Invisible Shield today, because I had it on my old phone and loved it.

Would it make sense to trim the cover with scissors in the "overlap area" prior to applying?

wait 24 hours, they go away. Well all of them don't always go away after 24 hours, but they start to go away with time.

I just got mine today...  I honestly don't know when I'm going to have the time to let it set.  It says "Don't charge for 24 hours" but I don't think the touchstone will be an issue, because there's no metal contact for moisture to get in and short anything out.  Well, maybe when I'll do it when I get home from work tomorrow morning and let it set on the Touchstone while I'm sleeping.

Tibs, how long did you wait before handling your phone??

If you have a complaint about the Pre, such as a lack of a feature or a feature that doesn't work well, complaining about it here isn't going to fix it.  Why not send your suggestion to Palm?  That's how the Pre will evolve from a great phone into an even greater phone.  Just click here.

I applied the screen in the evening (8:00)

and let my pre sit until morning.

I charged it sometime in between though.

Yep!  Same here.  It's cheaper, less work, and no overlapping issues...  lol

EDIT:  Well I got my Phantom and put it on...  It was easy enough *** IF YOU READ AND FOLLOW ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS***

But I jinxed myself when I said "no overlapping issues".  The top right and bottom left tabs overlap ever so slightly...  I think I'm going to put rubber sheets in my vice, CAREFULLY vice the Pixi, use my magnifying glass workshop lamp, and a razor blade to trim the excess off.  Very carefully.

Unless someone has a better idea?

Double posting intentionally to bump this topic...

Sorry, but the overlapping is bothering me and before I take a razor blade to my Pixi, I want to see if anyone has a better idea.

Hmm... I think that's the best thing you can do...

Before I apply my second skin I'm going to cut off a lil bit while its on the sheet.

I think that is the best thing to do.

How difficult is the Phantom Skinz to remove?  I received my kit in the mail, but I'm a little hesitant to install it.  I want to be sure it can be removed without damaging the phone if I decide not to use it.

If you do this, PLEASE post a detailed pic of where you did you trimming.  I don't plan on installing mine until I can catch a visual of this.

Thanks.
